What a Four-Night Stay Might Cost
Nightly rates add up quickly on a longer trip. Here is what four nights could cost at the estimated rates above, before add-ons or discounts.

Add $29.95 if you book a Quick Wash at pickup, at stores that offer it. A senior, military or first responder discount takes 10% off the room part of the bill, which is $10 to $18 on a four-night standard room.
Standard Room or Private Suite
Both dog rooms are individual, indoors and temperature controlled. Dogs from the same household can share a standard room, which is the cheapest way to board two dogs together.
The Private Suite adds space and privacy, a white noise machine and PetSmart’s Superb Sleeper bed. It earns the higher rate for dogs that react to every noise, quiet-loving seniors and long trips.
Older pets in good health can stay in either room. PetSmart says it will add extra bedding and relief walks for seniors on request, so ask for both at check-in.

Kitty Cottage Costs and Cat Care
A Kitty Cottage costs about $20 to $35 a night, usually the cheapest overnight option at PetsHotel. Cottages sit in a separate cat area that PetSmart describes as sound-proof and smell-proof from the dog side.
Two cats from one home can stay in cottages with connecting doors. Every cat stay includes individual playtime and free litter, so you only need to pack food and anything that calms your cat.
Cats that stress easily settle better with something that smells like home. PetSmart lets you bring a favorite bed, blanket or toy for the stay.

Dogs also get Doggie Day Camp playtime during overnight stays at no extra charge. At checkout you get a Pawgress Report, and you can call the PetsHotel any time for an update.

PetSmart doesn’t give injections, and over-the-counter medicine needs a vet’s written dosage. Call your store before booking if your pet takes anything unusual.

A short weekend stay rarely needs extras, since playtime is already included. Active Pup and Bedtime Bliss make more sense on trips of five nights or longer.
The Noon Pickup Rule
Plan to collect your pet before noon. PetSmart says pickups after 12:00 PM may carry an additional fee.

Morning pickups also depend on when your store opens. Check PetSmart store hours for your location before you book a flight home.
Vaccines and Forms for Check-In
PetsHotel needs written proof of vaccines before any stay. Shots must be given at least one hour before arrival, though PetSmart prefers 10 to 14 days ahead.
Dogs need rabies, DAPP or DHPP, and a Bordetella shot within the last 12 months. Cats need rabies and FVRCP, and some states and cities add their own rules.
If anything is out of date, a PetSmart vaccine clinic or the Banfield hospital inside many stores can update it. Book that visit a week or two before the stay so your paperwork is ready.

- Your pet must be at least 4 months old
- Pets with fleas or ticks are turned away at check-in
- The person dropping off must be 18 or older

Doggie Day Camp is supervised group play during the day, with no overnight stay. Expect roughly $20 to $40 for a full day and $15 to $25 for a half day, and multi-day packages can lower the daily rate.

The Play & Pamper package pairs camp with the salon, taking 25% off a full or half day of camp and 15% off a bath or groom. It suits the day before a trip, when you want a tired, clean dog at drop-off.
Who Gets 10% Off PetsHotel
Seniors 65 and over, military members and state or local first responders get 10% off any overnight stay. Bring ID, because a services associate applies the discount.
The discount covers the room only, with one discount per stay. Add-ons, Doggie Day Camp and PetsHotel bundle packages are excluded, and federal law enforcement staff don’t qualify.

Overnight Staffing and Safety
PetsHotel runs a UV air sanitation system and cleans rooms, bowls, toys and play areas daily. Staff do safety walks three times a day and log feeding and behavior on a service card for each pet.
